Are the Rockies the worst hitting team in Baseball?

I live up here in Colo, and it's all I have to watch are these guys..To me they are a horrible horrible hitting team..They struggle to get hits, when they do get RISP's they absolutely rarely push them across..I put them down as the worst hitting team in baseball. And I do watch them every night..

Atkins is hitting over .300, but it's a weak .300. He's only hitting .220 with RISP

Which means he's a good buy low candidate as his RBI's should increase going forward.

That title belongs to the Bluejays. Never in my life have i seen so many rally killing GIDP and general crappiness with RISP. Bases loaded, none out, down by 1 in the 10th? Why don't we just strike out then ground into a DP. Leadoff triple in bottom 9th of a tied game? O why don't we just K 3 times and hope for a homerun next time.

Lets see... So far arguments have been made for the Rockies, Padres, and Diamondbacks. I'm sure no one would complain about adding San Fran and LA Dodgers to the list since they are bottom 5 in the league for runs scored.

So, is it more that the NL west has crappy hitters or super stud pitchers?

I think it is more about a good mix of stud pitchers (Peavy, C. Young, Webb, Haren, Linecum, Billingsly, etc) than purely crappy hitting. But then again, maybe those pitchers seem studly cuz of the Sallyboys that they face most frequently.
