CHAD CORDERO...sleeper releiver...?

Postby Clevelander » Mon Mar 01, 2004 3:00 pm

how long will it take for him to take over the proposed closer biddle for now...having such a strong finish last yr and not blowing the saves biddle did he looks to be the big dark horse closer everyone would want...

anyone have any opinions on him...

well it never hurts to have a solid MR on your squad, especially in H2H or deep leagues. and when they back up an inconsistent closer, thats even better. guys like cordero, damaso marte, david riske, and matt herges can turn out to be great pickups.

Agreed. Once a sorry closer screws up too much, a backup could be given a chance to shine. If he performs, then you got yourself a sleeper.

Biddle, really broke down last year, but they still seem committed to making him the closer (I suspect to bump his value). Herges is my releif sleeper, because I'm still not sure Rob Nen will ever pitch again.
