Can you smell what the Sheff is cooking... :-B

I hope he goes on a big tear, both he and the Tigers desperately needs it.

Just wait till he starts talking crazy. That's when he really starts to hit. I believe he went on his tear last year after he said Latin players are easier for teams to control.

What is he worth now? I waived him a few weeks ago (because I had to at the time). Another owner in my league picked him up 2 days ago and is asking me if I want him back. I am really kicking myself now.

Do you think he is solid from here on out? Or old and injury prone - lucky to finish out the year?

Hit another jack today...

I took the flier a couple days ago just because I think he's better than a 0.213-avg/3-hr hitter and I was/am counting on him to go on a tear like he did last year - the difference, of course, being that this year he's got a better lineup around him. But I claimed him off the wire for nothing.

I don't think he's a guy you would hang onto for the rest of the year, but I do think he'll be more than adequate for the next month or two. So unless you can get him cheap, I wouldn't bother trying to reacquire him now, as the other guy will most likely be asking for too much.

Of course if you were in my league and had dropped Sheff then the new owner of Sheff would probably have the audacity of sending Sheff back to you in a trade offer along with some crappy 2B, SS for your stud 2B, SS, etc.
