A frustrated owner sent Peavy, Markakis, Jenks
for
Hart, Verlander, Kershaw (1st place team)

Frustrated owner is just coming off a horrible loss against the worst team in the league who won only 1 week so far this year. Also lost 4 weeks straight and believes that Peavy will continue to have issues with his elbow. He also indicated that he likes Hart more than Markakis and Kershaw obviously becomes his rookie keeper. It looks bad on paper but is this veto-able?

I'd actually allow that deal.

I think Markakis and Hart are probably a wash

Kershaw and Verlander could equal Peavy depending on injury risk assessments

Closers are a dime a dozen year in year out

Nothing that outlandish IMO either. Hart and Markakis is more or less a wash, and I might actually value Kershaw/Verlander over Peavy in the long run. Jenks is a worthless throw-in to the deal for this year really, because he will be back into the draft pool after this season - not really a keeper with only 5-6 per team. I have no problem with a deal like this personally...
