what is the deal with gimpy larry...i know this was inevitable....what are you guys doing with him

Jun 23 Jones (quad) will be out until at least Friday, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. "He could DH in Toronto, which means he misses these three [against the Brewers]," manager Bobby Cox saiad.
Recommendation: Jones could pinch hit, as he did on Saturday, but won't start until the Braves have the DH in interleague play (which comes at a good time for Jones). It sounds like there's still a chance he could land on the DL with any setback.

Obviously you bench him. No one will trade for him while he is hurt, so the obvious answer is to bench him for a few days, you should know what you are getting into with him, he'll miss a few games and come back and rake for a few weeks. Pick up Huff or Branyan or someone like that to fill in for him.

i have received a few trade offers for him in the last week so you are wrong about that...i was posting to see if anyone else was in the same boat....obviously he will be on the bench when he is scratched, why would i leave him in? my question, "what is everyone doing with him" was pertaining to trades, so since you dont think anyone will trade for chipper, dont respond.

Obviously they are low ball offers, no one is going to offer a top 25 player for him when he is having quad issues. But that doesn't mean he isn't a top 25 player. Just bench him and play him when he's healthy. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings.

Man, you BoSox and Yanks just can't get along can you ;-)

Chipper is definitely producing top-25 numbers this year, but you will have a hard time flipping him for similar production at this point in time IMO. Bench him for now, but absolutely do not drop him...please don't drop anyone hitting .390+ :-o
