Just something I threw together while bored on the train. What do you guys think? I'm pretty new at this, this is only my third time using a graphics editor, and i only have GIMP.

Opinions? Do you see any progress from my Jay Bruce Sig i have below my post?

I treid to play iwth the lighting and shadows this time, lighting up Joba's face and pitching arm. Also, the brackground is really funky, but unfortunately i think it may be too dark to see.

you should make it bigger to see more detail. its "cleaner" than your jay bruce sig, which is a plus, but your cuts still look a tad sloppy (the right side of the yankees logo). i definitely think you're improving, so just keep practicing!

Like Snakes said work on your cutting. Keep practicing it will come to you eventually. Also next time you make a sig, make it bigger. Try make a 400x100 sig next time. You will notice a difference. Things will not look as squished together and quality wise it will be better. Overall though not too bad though. You have the concept down, now you just have to work on the basics to put it all together.
