Jeremy Reed tore it up in the minors last season, and may be in a position to take the CF job in chicago. he was not on most prospects list, is he for real, and does anybody know anything else about him??? Also does anyone know how much playing time eric young should be getting this year, and if he fits into the outfield plans for the rangers this year. How many steals could he accumulate??

think about brian giles with more speed. thats what youre looking for his future. but hell spend alot of time, if not the whole season in the minors this year unless there their center fielders just absolutly cannot hold the position down.
theyre coming.....

Eric Young may play a little LF this year. But don't look for too many ABs as he will probably only bat against lefties.

where are you reading that he didn't make most prospect lists? He's 25th Overall on BA (4th OF, I think). He's a lock to make a 2004 entry at some point (hopefully before Sept.) He doesn't have a lot of pop, not yet, but some. Giles may be overrating his power; but certainly an above-average Major league OF almost as soon as he comes up. Speed, average, and 20HR power.

I knew their family growing up. I think my brother coached him in soccer in high school, very fast kid! very athletic! he's going to check him out in Arizona when he plays his Cubbies. I'll find out how he looked from him.

Well, I don't think he'll ever match Giles power numbers. But I'd say he should easily be capable of becoming at least a 20-20 type guy with 30-40 SB potential, and hit .300+ consistently.
