The 'ol dumping SP for Rp strategy almost in action

Ok, I am in a 10 man league, 5x5 redraft.

I have been in 5th-9th place all year and I have been at the bottom in ERA, WHIP and wins all year. I am 5th in K's

My offense is fine for now.

With Bedard now hurt again, I am thinking of trading all SP except for a couple for closers.

There are planty of good K RP on the wire, like Marmol and a few more.

I just had a trade offer in whihc I get Francisco Cordero for Furcal, and since I got a freebiw with Tulo, I might do it.

To early to try this strategy or go for it? If Bedard goes on the DL it will be hard to not do this. I was waiting until July 1 to make a decision but that might be pushed up.

Do it! Casilla and Zumaya are back. There is always the trusty Bell and Arredondo looks like a stud MR in the making. Two stud MR will give you 6-7IP a week with solid ratios and about 10 K/9 in a H2H league. Okajima and Neshek carried my team last year when my best pitcher was pretty much Lincecum.

I would have to deal Verlander and Harang for some stud closers and then package the rest to bolster my offense some.

God I wish I played in leagues where trading was as easy as you're making it sound.
In almost every league I've played in people won't trade/won't trade unless they get the noticeably better end of the deal.

I'm using this strategy in a couple leagues, but I drafted that way. The draft parts usually huge because that's where you get your offense advantage.

It does work decently though as a strategy. How many spots do you have that you can actually use RP' (all P roster? H2H or roto?
