Chase Utley's slump

Postby Guzman24 » Fri Jun 20, 2008 9:46 pm

Chase is now 0 for his last 23.

Unfortunately I haven't had much of a chance to see too many of his at bats during this slump. Can anyone give me some insight? Is he hitting the ball hard?? Possible injury??

I'm not exactly in panic mode but this is very unlike Chase especially with that sweet compact swing of his.

Chase had a couple hard hits tonight. I think the worse is over and could see him going on a new hitting streak.

I don't understand the utley fetishism on this board, it seems like every time Utley hasn't hit five homers in the past week everyone expects that his arm has fallen off. He's a baseball player guys, hey slump, even mighty Casey struck out. Cool down.

i understand it. he goes on a huge tear and hits 5 hrs a week and people expect that is the norm. when he starts not doing it, people get concerned. i get it, its just stupid. :-D

I am a proud Utley owner in one league and although I don't dare doubt him or complain, the 0 for 23 has definitely been noticable and annoying.
