How much of this mental/mechanical meltdown can be attributed to Lou's itchy trigger finger on his demotion instead of working with the kid at the major league level???? ie, the bullpen.
It really makes me sad!


All i can say....wherever you are next year Rich, ill support you and give you another shot....even if your own manager lou doesnt!

No, it is actually 6 BB - if you separate out the numbers claudish posted:

IP 0.2 / H 3 / R 6 / ER 6 / BB 4 / K 1

I drafted Hill in a number of leagues this year as a #2 SP...boy, did that not work out...

Hill got by on a low BABIP last year, I'm not really surprised to see a dip this year, but yeah, wouldn't have expected this still though. I mean he should atleast be able to maintain dave bush type numbers.

In reality, Hill's falloff this season had nothing to do with BABIP and everything to do with his inability to hit the strike zone.

I think he needs to get out of the Cubs organization first, and then we'll eventually see numbers more closely resembling his 2007 season.

Things have even gotten worse. Now Iowa doesn't want him on the mound so he's headed to the Cubs spring training facility in Arizona. I say instead of visiting a mound, he should go see a couple of good Shrinks in Phoenix.
