According to the Chicago Sun Times, Rich Hill "is not considered close to a return" from Triple-A. The newspaper reports that Hill "has continued to struggle with his command and mechanics since his demotion" over a month ago. Sean Marshall may be the first starter called up from Triple-A.
I really don't think Hill will get another shot this season, unless 2/3 of Marquis, Marshall, and Gallagher fail.
damn it... i was always a rich hill fan. liked his potential and always had him on my team... looks like i'll have to wait until next year for his services again

That's an understatement. What's scary is he seems to be getting worse down in the minors rather than better as he has no clue how to throw the ball in the strike zone anymore. I smell Rick Ankielitis but the problem with Hill is he can't hit...

ARE THOSE NUMBERS CORRECT?!?!? 6BB in 2/3 of an inning!!!!!!!!! talk about a fall from grace!!
How much of this mental/mechanical meltdown can be attributed to Lou's itchy trigger finger on his demotion instead of working with the kid at the major league level???? ie, the bullpen. It really makes me sad!
All i can say....wherever you are next year Rich, ill support you and give you another shot....even if your own manager lou doesnt!

LAWL...yeah, it's Lou's fault Rich cant find the strike zone......
4.63 ERA after April last year.. showed up to spring training and was walking a batter a inning.... then in his brief time up at the bigs walking everything...
Looks like he has the Rick Ankiel problem, to bad he is an awful hitter. Rich Hill one year wonder
