Postby menyak » Mon Mar 01, 2004 3:54 am

$67 million. Sounds like a whole lot of money, doesn't it? Ever wonder what you would do with that kind of cash?

Rangers owner Tom Hicks found the perfect way to blow all this moolah: he'll be writing checks to Alex Rodriguez, c/o Yankee Stadium, for the next seven years. In the latest Point of View article, we take a look at a couple other ways to spend this tidy sum...

6+ Seasons of Ivan Rodriguez (Signed by Detroit to a four-year, $40 million contract this off-season. Think Rangers fans would mind seeing I-Rod return to Arlington?)

Somehow I knew that would be in there. They never should have let Pudge go to begin with, in my opinion.

I'd buy a $67 million car.

-Ya, good investment, but I'd pull you over.

Bullshit, you could never catch me.

-I could never catch you?

Well, if you did, I'd activate my car's wings and fly away.

(Line from Super Troopers..but it wasn't $67 million)

I forgot to mention that I expect to get $66,999,000.00 back as change. How this place makes a profit with the exorbitant salaries it's paying out I will never know. :-D
