Shilling done for year and probably career

Postby HunglikeChampions » Fri Jun 20, 2008 9:30 am

Just heard this on WEEI during their weekly interview with SHilling. Thought it was worth mentioning

That's a pity if true. Lucky for the team they're not dependent on his return with the young arms they've got, but it would have been nice to be able to walk off the mound for a final hurrah.

Great here's hoping that he doesn't pursue his second career in broadcasting.

Yeah, you probably should have specified that he's done "pitching." I can never see hime being done flapping his gums...

You know he's going to be in the media as much as possible now. A guy like that is not just going to fade off into obscurity.

We have not seen the last of Curt Schilling. :-[

I'm sure ESPN will be all over him. I hope they hire him so that I have even more excuse not to watch their craptastic programming. Maybe he could be the new Chris Berman and comment on every sport he doesn't know about. That would be awesome.

on to more important fantasy implications, I hope this bodes well for Buchholz's eventual return to the rotation.
