Out of thsoe guys, I'd say Johnny Damon and then Richard Hidalgo. But Patterson wouldn't be a bad choice either I guess.

Damon's probably the safe pick. I might roll the dice on Patterson or Kearns. Or take Damon and roll the dice that they'll be there next round. Or maybe grab LGon and trade him before his arm falls apart.

looking for the best value
got it narrowed to Damon, LWalker, H.Matsui, Hidalgo
Kearns and Patterson might last til my next pick, prob. not
Leaning towards Damon(SB's).

Also might pick Kendall, Mantei/Nathan, Clement, L.Castillo.

All of equal value, you think?

Of those I'd grab Luis Castillo if you need a 2B. Why get a 3rd OF who can steal bases when you can get a 2B that steals bases. I think Castillo will bounce back.

I'd go with Matsui

L. Walker
L. Gonzalez
J. Gonzalez
T. Nixon
Hidalgo
Kearns
Patterson
Matsui

I would narrow the list down to those names.

As for which one to take, its a real tossup - you have old and injury prone guys that could hit 40 hrs, +.300 avg, and a young stud who might have 25/25 potential.

Personally, I like giving the bigime sluggers one last look this yr, so thats why Walker and the Gonzalez's top my list.

Cabrera is better than people think.
However, because he's better than people think he'll probably hang around another round or two

Cabrera and Kearns will both be monsters this year. Kearns will end up being a top 15 OF. Look athis number last year before he got hurt. He was hitting .300 with 15HRs (which, led the league at that point). He'll bat .300+ with 30-35 hRs and 100+rbi
