I've got him ranked right around Mantei and Borowski.
Not sure where Nen and Urbina fall in here.

I think that if the Twins don't get a closer (there were talks of acquiring Urbina via free agency, and Mantei in a trade for Jacque Jones) Nathan will have the job all season and have a shot at 40 saves. Most would be more conservative since he's never been a closer, and I wouldn't rely on him for that many, but if I had to pick a number it would be in the high 30's.

He was awesome last season, has followed the same path as Gagne, and doesn't have any competition for the closer role. They're too cheap to even sign their own relievers (Hawkins and Guardado) so I can't see them going after the mega-stubborn Urbina, and the Jones for Mantei deal doesn't make sense financially.

I'd rate him just after Francisco Cordero and Armando Benitez, as the 12th best closer this season.

Ahead of Hawkins and Mota for sure, even in leagues that count holds. Not even close. However if Gagne is traded to Toronto, it's a different story. Mota would be huge if he got the closeing gig for LA.

Yeah, I am looking at my roster trying to decide who to keep, and the final slot will be going to one of the three. Basically, I am not going to have to freeze many of my star players--e.g. I pick number two at SS and have Tejada and the person at number one has A-Rod.

Yes, my league does count holds.

I don't get what you're saying. But regardless, definately keep Nathan over Mota and Hawkins. But try and get Mota in the draft. He'll be one of the top holds guys. His total last season was unimpressive, but he is now the primary right handed setup man for Gagne since Paul Quantrill left LA.

Basically, we draft by position. Everyone has a number one pick, number two, etc. I have high picks at the positions where I have players that I must absolutely keep. I hope that this makes sense.

OK now I get it. That's a weird sytem, never heard of it before. Have you used it before? Doesn't it limit the amount of teams you can have in your league, since there are only 10 positions, even if you count LF, CF, RF individually?

It makes drafting extremely complicated. For instance, if you have Albert Pujols, but you also have the #1 pick at 1B, it would not be a wise idea to throw Pujols back into the pool knowing you can get him and keep, say, Nathan, if you have the option for a guy like Aubrey Huff at the #1 1B pick. That system is waaaay too complicated for me.

Actually, I play--under that system--in one 12 team league and one 15 team league. The 12 team league divides starters by LH and RH and also includes a middle relief category--where Nathan would be drafted. The 15 team league divides LHS and RHS by AL and NL as well as MR by AL and NL.
