Sheesh.... touchy touchy.
Calling him a bad hitter is one thing but passing judgment on his work ethic and desire to play without really knowing is another. It's classless.

I cannot think of one move he's made that I've said, "Wow, now I know why I couldn't be a GM." Conversely, everything he does - including his moronic outbursts - makes me think I CAN be a GM!

As much as I dislike him as a GM, his moving of Shea Hillenbrand (+ vinnie Chulk) for Accardo was nice, as was the moving of Koskie for Wolfe, who is turning out alright.

There are many good things he's done (drafting Marcum may be the best of them all), and many bad things. The bad things seem to really outweigh the good...especially this year.

Here you go:
You know the guy doesn't really like baseball that much? ... Do you know the guy doesn't have a passion to play the game that much?

If we assume that Ricciardi wasn't lying to the fan, then Ricciardi probably obtained this information from some kind of scouting, or from asking other players that have played with Dunn. The problem isn't necessarily with believing that Dunn doesn't like baseball, it's actually saying it over the radio.
Of course the scariest thing of all is that some GMs in baseball may be making decisions based on who likes baseball the most as opposed to who is actually good.
