I don't think you need a reason for porcelain bells. It's like cowbell. Does anyone need a reason for more cowbell? No because more cowbell makes things better. Anyway, I have been to several weddings where guests got a porcelain bell for showing up. I was kind of like gee I just dropped all this dime and I all I get is this lousy bell... But the women seemed to like them.
