First move that GM Lee Pelekoudas made (today): Called up Jeff Clement
I expect a Yahoo! Fantasy Baseball article on the front page about picking Jeff Clement up....anytime now.
What's wrong with that?
I just picked him up, although I'd like him to get to C eligibility quickly.
Johjima and his .500ish OPS will help me with that.

Nothing wrong with that. In fact just the opposite I was paying a compliment to Yahoo and the fact that their articles have been so good so far this year that some people have complained that it makes it difficult to grab the top prospects this year.As for Clement he is a solid prospect who has hit everywhere he has been and was currently raking in AAA. He will get C eligibility eventually and could possibly be the everyday DH for the M's. Lets just hope that he gets it figured out this time around.

And let the house cleaning begin!
HeraldNet wrote:SEATTLE -- Struggling first baseman Richie Sexson's time with the Seattle Mariners could end soon.
One day after general manager Bill Bavasi was fired, interim GM Lee Pelekoudas and club executives held meetings throughout the day Tuesday to set the course for the final 31/2 months of the season.
Among the hottest topics: Sexson.
According to one person familiar with moves that are planned, Sexson will be let go, possibly within days.
Guess that means there's no trade value for him.

What a sweet job to have

Hopefully he's not from the good ol' boys network as well.

the best moves the mariners can make right now is to trade for konerko to play 1b after they cut sexson, then trade for hafner after they cut vidro. this gives them tons of power potential, and both players will come cheap cause theyre on the DL. its a classic buy low
