Granderson and PT

IIRC, Granderson played every day last year. Had Sizemore-like numbers and I drafted him 2nd round (5 keepers) for this year, thinking he was a bargain. Of course he got hurt, came back on a tear, slumped, and now it seems he's sitting regularly vs lefties and never running...

I figured Maybin is gone so Curtis was a lock for every day, but now he's sharing time with Raburn and Clevlen... only 18 ABs vs lefties all year.

If this is what I'm going to get here out, I figure I better move him in a deal while his 07 numbers still mean something, and while his low overall AB number can be somewhat attributed to his DL stint...

In short: is this the PT to expect for Granderson here out?

Yeah, I've been commenting about this in the Injuries/Player Updates thread. I really don't understand why Granderson is platooning. Leyland promised he'd get PT against LH'ers and now he seems to be against this idea. You would especially think that he'd be in the line-up after yesterday's 2-4 effort to boost his confidence.

Can anybody else think of a top 100 fantasy player that is being platooned?

No, but then Granderson isn't a top 100 fantasy player this year is he?

Last year Hawpe was platooned a lot of the year and was a top-100 player (almost top-50) player.

I think he often sat against lefties last year as well, but then again I always benched him when he was facing a lefty so it didn't matter to me anyways.

just recently he was supposed to become an everyday player but i have no idea why Leyland hasnt been playing him after saying that

i dont think leyland even knows what leyland is doing anymore. he has out maneuvered himself! not many managers can say that
