2nd Straight: No Alexei

Postby StringerBell » Sat Jun 14, 2008 7:09 pm

It seemed that Alexei Ramirez had proven himself more effective than either Uribe or B. Anderson. For the second straight game he`s out of the Line-Up? Does anyone have any info on what type of playing time Ramirez will get with Uribe back?
.....ain't nobody got nothing to say about a 40-degree day. ...

heard Ozzie on the radio and he sounded like they'd platoon at 2B. something discounting Alexei's production and to the effect of "Uribe will get time".

wasn't listening closely, and it was a quick bite, so take it for what its worth.

I thought for sure he was locked in as an every day player, but two straight days off scares me (alot). I wonder if he wound up in Ozzies doghouse somehow. Or it could just be that Uribe is being rewarded for knocking in the tying and scoring the winning run last night.

Either way I think Im going with Casilla or Belliard next week just in case.

He started in cf today and had an RBI single (although it was a gift from the official scorer--should have been an error on Stewart at 2B).
There's a chance that the Sox will put Konerko on the DL. If that happens it will open up an OF spot with Swisher presumably moving to first.

Whatever the case is, so long as Uribe is back, Alexei will not get full time. Even if he plays 75% of the time (he won't), he is not someone you can plug in your lineup everyday with confidence. Hopefully something happens to change that, but as of now that is the situation.

If he doesn't play 75% of the time, how are you going to win your ROY bet? :-B
