Manny Ramirez was pulled from Friday's game in the seventh inning as a precaution.
Ramirez didn't aggravate his hamstring or anything, the Red Sox are just playing it safe. They're visiting the Reds, so DHing him is not an option. He'll likely sit Saturday, but should be back in the left field for the series finale Sunday.

I thought I read somewhere he was pulled because his hammy tightened up on him and was causing him pain.

"We talked about it before the game and then he said he was really feeling it, so we took him out," manager Terry Francona said. "And that certainly makes it hard, because it certainly limits you when the game starts, but you don't want to hurt him worse than he is." Ramirez is expected to sit out Saturday's game. Either Coco Crisp or Brandon Moss will start.
