Of those three I think Brown is the most questionable (off and on injuries). Vazquez is too talented to suffer all year from culture shock. He's no Weaver thankfully. Lieber I feel will come back from surgery fine.
I'm torn on the vote because the bullpen is thumbs up better (I lost count of the number of RP's they burned through the season) but I think the Yanks will feel it by not having ANY left-handed pitching, especially against those beantown boys.
Also, I agree that AP carried only a so-so ERA but he brought it when it counted: in the playoffs.
So, taking both starters and 'pen together I would have to say NO they did not get better but they did not get worse either.
