That didn't matter too much. He would be laying up anyways, he doesn't have the length to reach in 2.

When I first saw the overhead view, it looked like a worse lie than it was.

On to hole 7!

Sudden death on the 7th. Scary hole for Rocco.

To sudden death we go. I've never seen anybody push Tiger this hard before in a major, not even Bob May.

I couldn't help but pull for Rocco at the end; he just seems like such a good guy and he really gave it all.

Greatest pressure player of all time. It's crazy how mentally tough Tiger Woods actually is. The legend continues.

Rocco Mediate played great, though. He should take solace in the fact that he pushed Tiger further than anybody ever had in a major.

It's just too bad hole #7 really didn't play into his shot form. If they had chosen some other par 4 for the sudden death hole, they could very well be still playing.

I'm a Tiger fan, and I'm appreciative of his historic career. Having said that, I have to admit to pulling for Rocco on #7 (first playoff) and to some significant disappointment when he chunked those shots. I'm all happy for Tiger, but Rocco deserved better than to go out like that after that 90 holes he had put together.

Tiger is a machine. 91 holes on a surgically repaired knee, first tourney back, and he wins. Amazing.
