Jun 11 Escobar could come off the disabled list by the All-Star break if he returns as a reliever, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Advice: Manager Mike Scioscia told the paper that if he returns as a starter, Escobar likely won't be back until late July. Escobar has been on the disabled list March 21 because of a tear in his pitching shoulder. Escobar was 18-7 with a 3.40 ERA in 30 starts last year. He was last used in relief situations in 2005.

What kind of value do u feel he has this yr? I just added em and stashed him on my DL, well see what happens!

It depends on your league format. In the points league that I'm in, he won't have any value if he's a reliever (assuming he doesn't close). But if you have roster room in a H2H or Roto and a need for a decent ERA and WHIP, and a fair number of K's, he may have some limited value. But he's a big question mark because we have no real idea what kind of shape he'll be in once he returns.

if you're in H2H he could have some value. In my main league we have a SVHD category, and Escobar will sure be in line for some holds on that roster. But regardless, he should help out your era whip and a couple Ks. so yea if ur in a H2H league, why not pick him up since u can plug him in a SP slot instead of using a RP one.
