Should move up to the northeast... no floods, tornados, earthquakes, or brush fires. The only thing you really have to worry about are snow storms, but you can usually avoid death if you drive slow, make sure snow doesn't pile up on your roof, and stay clear of avalanches .

I've never had to worry about a hurricane here in the midwest.

That's crazy talk. There are days of notice before a hurricane. A tornado drops on your house and you have less than 30 minutes warning.

Hurricane's almost never reach New England at full or even near-full strength.
You should try living here. 12+ year drought, yipee! This winter looks like it might be breaking it, but we'll see if it lasts. My Mum came over here 5 years ago at the worst of the drought and said "What the (expletive) would you want to live here for"

I agree. Plus, hurricanes/tropical storms only cause real damage along coastal areas for the most part.
