Putz (Elbow?)

Regardless of the severity of the injury to Putz... I wonder if Morrow has taken over the closer role... due to injuries my team can't fit both of them!!!!

I still think Putz's history is too good for him to lose the closer role yet. If he gets right, I'm convinced he'll get another shot. But you just don't pull your closer in that situation and then announce he's fine the next day. Morrow should be the guy for at least a week or two (if he can stay healthy, of course). I'm betting on longer.

Who's the better speculative pick based on their situations: Morrow or Mike Gonzalez?

Personally, I'd say Morrow. Gonzo's team is much better, but I just don't think we've seen the last of Soriano, and I don't see Gonzo unseating him. I imagine he'll get some saves here and there while Soriano deals with his tendinitis, but I'm guessing it'll be sporadic. Putz just looks broken.

Right now... Soriano because we don't know the extent of Putz's injury... but tonight, if it's an elbow etc... then you gotta go with Morrow... wait for the injury update...

Morrow's shoulder is real shaky but Soriano is shakier overall cant seem to get there totally

take Morrow > Soriano as of this moment but keep in mind Sea could be another CBC real fast

either one soriano has not been able to throw the past 3 days anyways because of the tendinitis in his elbow again

Mariners are saying it's a "Sore elbow" and is a "new injury"... they're going to go day to day... I'd wish they'd just get him an mri tommorow and put this to rest... at least we haven't heard the words "pop" yet... I don't have room for Morrow... I wish they'd just come out with the seriousness of this in the next day!!!!

Injury doesnt sound too severe... hyper extended elbow, irritation to the ulnar nerve... I think they would jump at the chance to throw him on the DL given his inconsistencies (he could benefit from some rehab to find his control!) In any event, he'll get the weekend off and be reevaluated on monday... i had no room for morrow and someone snatched him up... i hope JJ bounces back... if not i'll have to trade for a closer from my offense... Nathan, Torres and Borowski ain't gunna cut it... I don't think...
