Adam Jones is still available in a lot of leagues, which surprises me. Yeah, he hasnt been the guy he was sold as at the start of the year, but hes still young with huge upside, and its not like he has to worry about his playing time.

How about my favorite prospect two years ago. Dallas McPherson. He's doing great in AAA but don't likey the K's. The Angels were supposed to be set with Dallas @ 3rd and Wood @ SS for the next ten years...two years ago. :-D

And now both seem like busts. That's the nature of prospects. Everyone assumes every minor league pitcher that has success in the minors is going to be the next cole hamels, tim lincecum, or edinson volquez. Its east to be excited over a prospect but its intelligent to think reasonably

Yeah not every pitcher is lights out right out of the gate and there is always the possibility of an injury. A lot of pitching prospects do well until hitters adjust to them, but they have to adjust to the hitters adjustments as well.

It will be interesting to see where Gallardo goes next year. I hope he falls a couple of rounds so I can nab him.

I didn't want to start a new thread for this but has anyone noticed Dallas McPherson's #s down in AAA?

301 ABs
65 R
12 2B
32 HR
71 RBI
55 BB
112 K
10 SB
.295 AVG
.403 OBP
.674 SLG

Not too shabby.

So if he is on pace for 200Ks in AAA....what would that translate into in the bigs? :-? :-o ;-)

Obviously, the more K's the more stats. Therefore, a 80/45/125/.320 with 4,027 K's line is what you might expect in the majors. ;)
