This really doesn't mean anything if you think it'll improve Buchholz's odds. Different year with some different players and as stated above, these guys have been hitting the ball really well of late. If anything, those that do remember the no-hitter will be gunning for Clay even more this time around.

The adrenaline will be pumping for Clay... could go either way to be honest... but I think he'll be up for the challenge and will have a great start
For every Brett Myers there's a Nate McLouth...

I don't know how anyone can NOT start him if you own him. +K rate, reliable run support in home park (Scott Baker fans forgive me!), like Ive been telling Mathias all along, the guy's an ACE! :*)

lovely redsox spin once again..

demotion of masterson..to become a reliever...lmao..

what this means is ..we can't beat the rays and for some reason we might not make the playoffs....we better get what could be our best pitcher backup for the second half....buchholz already moves ahead of everyone but dice k and beckett....and may not be behind those two in a few starts

I don't get what you think the, "spin" is. Everyone knows that the Red Sox like Buchholz over Masterson and this has more to do with Clay than Justin. But given that there isn't a roster spot for Masterson, it makes sense to at least use him in a bullpen that has been bombed. So they really want Clay in the rotation and they really want to use Masterson in the pen. Where's the spin?

spin is bs..spin is the reasoning they give/tell u why they do something...it has nothing to do with the real reasons..

spin can be use to disquise or deciet..it can be used to cover up a mistake....

are u happy u know what spin is now?

You still didn't explain what the spin is here in this situation.

They said they wanted Buchholz in the rotation

They said they wanted Masterson in the pen

They are putting Buchholz in the rotation....and Masterson in the pen

Spin free zone. :-D

This was their plan all along... Masterson will be a starter one day, but they need him in middle relief, they need a true "long man" and who better than Masterson... the only thing i'm surprised with is that they're bringing Clay up before the all star break... and right after a wish wash start...

Yah. I didn't ask what "spin" is... I asked what you thought the "spin" is in this situation.

If you wanted to say that the Red Sox are trying to cut short Masterson's arbitration clock then yes, this would be "spin" but as is, I don't see what you're trying to say.

Edit: But then again, I am talking to someone whose name is, "I did a poopy".

Uh what exactly was their mistake? What are they trying to cover up again?
