I knew pouncing on Chase right away was a no brainer as a Chipper owner.

I did the same thing. I've been trying to trade for R.Braun the last few weeks, but w/ no luck. I can see chipper missing a couple weeks this time.

I just traded for him, it was accepted in the early am, then he goes down a few hours later. Coincidence? Sorry Chipper owners, blame my luck.

I think that only fantasy noobs wouldn't know that Chipper is uber-talented, but rarely completes a full season anymore. Although last year, in a 5x5 league, he was #11 ranked overall and only played 130 games. But I agree, I'm ecstatic with the production so far.

He has been the toughest choice for me when drafting the last three seasons at least. He is an amazing hitter, and if he could put together a full season, would be up near the top every year. I have not owned him over this span, only because he tends to be drafted too high for my liking. This year, I'm sure I won't get near him, because he is the perfect sell high guy, even now. Too risky, IMO. Also, you gotta think his second half should be a huge disappointment, injuries aside, unless you believe he will finish the year with an average above .350 . Which I do not see. By no means do I want to seem like the guy who roots for injuries, but I would feel foolish if this didn't happen, and I coulda had a top 10 talent in the 4th-5th round. But, that is the life of a Fantasy Baseball Manager.
