i cant hear any sound from the internet but i can listen to music from itunes, so i know there isnt a plug or speaker problem. could i have accidently turned off sound from the internet as an option or something? i cant find anything.

Maybe with you asking for help I can finally get some sound out of my speakers...I haven't been able to get any sound in a few months. Makes watching online pr0n a lot less exciting.

after sleuthing for a little while, i discovered this is possibly a flash player problem and that some other people have had the same issue out of nowhere. im dl-ing some registry keys that supposedly will fix the problem.

Why are you bothering with that stuff anyway? Just go find a girl to help you out. That stuff that begins with "P" (work computer ) is just dumb, dumb, dumb. I've seen my fair share of it, and I can't begin to describe how boring I found it. I can't imagine getting a rise from that stuff. It's so fake as to be ridiculous.

Actually I figured it out....my sound was muted.

I double clicked on the little speaker icon in the bottom right of my screen and presto! sound.

Guess I should thank you Snakes for helping fix my speakers.

Snakes, if the sound problem is isolated to your browser are you experiencing the problem in both Firefox and Internet Explorer (or whatever browsers you use)?
