some people are really sore for a week, some people feel fine except for some general discomfort for a day or two. They'll give you a few days worth of happy pills though.
I would just stress the rinsing of your mouth with salt water. One of my friends was lazy about it and ended up with dry sockets(I'm sure they warned you of those), whereas I rinsed every time I ate and had no longterm problems.
I had a chessesteak for lunch the day I had mine taken out. They weren't impacted, so I wasn't in much pain, though it was a little sore. It took me a while to get used to eating though, I used to use them to eat and I bit my cheeks constantly.
Mine were hurting like hell before I had them taken out (pain pills helped though ). I didnt go under, just took the shot, and didn't feel a thing. I also had a great doctor who game me any meds I wanted, which worked out nice. DO follow their instructions though! My wife is a dental hygenist, and she had some nice horror stories to tell me.
I had 6 wisdom teeth and they were all impacted (two extra on top). I don't really remember the two days after. Be sure to ice to keep the swelling down and keep your head elevated. And make sure to rinse like they say cause you don't want dry sockets.
