What pitcher is gonna turn it around in the 2nd half?

Yep, Harang, Cain, Lilly, Snell...that was my starting 4 in one league. I'd like to see all of those guys bounce back with big 2nd halves.

Ouch... I think Cain and Harang will rebound. Not sure about Snell and Lilly.

I for one am hoping Oswalt posts better 2nd half numbers. He has kind of been disappointing for me so far this year.

Myers is already starting to turn it around, so he seems like a good bet to turn in a nice second half.

I don't think Harang belongs on this list. Besides wins his numbers look pretty good. If he keeps pitching as well as he has been he's still should end up with 10-12 wins this year.

Also Cain was just dropped in my 8 teamer. I'd love to see a nice start out of him tomorrow so I can drop a low end starter like Kershaw for him.

i think Harang beeds to be on this list. forget the low win total, but its his ERA/WHIP lately too. early in the season when he wasnt getting the wins but still posted nice ERA/WHIP i wasnt concerned. 2.98 ERA/ 1.11 WHIP in April ..but the month of May was alot different- 4.98 ERA/ 1.51 WHIP. thats insane for Harang. over the last month he has had ER games of 4 against Florida, 5 at SanDiego, 6 against Pittsburgh, and today 7 at Florida. Harang is someone i expect to be 3 ER or less every game.
according to baseball-reference.com over the last 14 days he has had .432 BABIP and over the last 28 days he has had .379 BABIP ..and thats not including todays game of 5.1 IP 11 H.
from fangraphs.com he has .323 BABIP on the season, with 24.2 LD%.
i would think his numbers have to get better than he has been over the last month plus, atleast as a Harang owner i hope so.. but i have thought about trading him trying to get something good based in his big name.

I would go with Oswalt. He won't be the Oswalt we've seen in the past few years, but he'll definitely be better.

McGowan and Buchholz (once he gets the called back up).

Both have pitched better than their ERA indicates. Buchholz is actually the most unlucky pitcher so far this year (min 40 IP) according to DIPS ERA. His DIP% is 0.64 which is absurd.

McGowan has been similiarly unlucky. It's not a perfect indicator, but still a valuable tool.

I agree with those who said Harang will turn it around as well.

Derek Lowe seems to have turned it around and I expect he'll continue to pitch well the rest of the season.
Keep an eye on Liriano and see if he doesn't pick up a couple MPH on his pitches. Could be a nice second half addition.
