about to bid on the free agent but am worried how much to bid on him...everytime i read about the guy is hurt. any thoughts? anybody?

I say No. He has been battling this elbow thing all year and it still has not gone away (as of Fri.) I wouldn't be surprised if he winds up back on the DL sooner than later. If Mike Gonzalez is available, you may want to take a flier.

If he stays healthy the rest of the season for you then it'll be time to take that trip to Vegas and bet the house because you will have already clobbered the odds once.

I'm watching the Phillies vs Braves game and the Phillies announcers were talking about Soriano and said that he was warming up the other night but couldn't get loose because of the elbow. Apparently some days it bothers him some it doesn't. They also said that as a result Bobby Cox has been careful with how and when he uses Soriano. He was warming up in the pen when they mentioned this.

I'm thinking no and that Mike Gonzalez is going to take the job soon enough. OF course I hope I'm wrong as a soriano owner.
