thanks for the info

kind of a newbie here (i guess) but how do they determine when the suspensions will start. I can understand pushing it back a few days so that players can appeal - but why are they all starting on different days? Thanx.

Oh, btw, I have crawford and while I hate that he's being suspended, it was nice to see him back up his teammate... ;-7

Pitchers sure get off easy. Shields was the first guy to take a swing (and if it would have landed it would have been a big hit) and he only misses one game. All of the hitters lose almost a week of games. That doesn't seem right.

Well....He could technically pitch everyday, so theoretically it is more than one game. !+)

He was being bum rushed by a guy, I would want to try to land the first punch too.

But how many people are appealing Dee?

I know Crisp is appealing because the Redsox needed him to play tonight.

And im pretty sure Shields and Gomes are appealing. Dont know why though, I think the punishments handed out were fair.

I feel bad for Aki.
He must have some bad karma or something, first shelley duncan, now coco crisp.

And he is the smallest player on the team.

That is so ridiculous. How is Coco being suspended for seven games when he was the one intentionally hit by Shields, and then Nav basically wrestled him onto the ground and the classless Tampa Bay Rays beat up on him like a bunch of gangbangers. If anything, Gomes should DEFINITELY be suspended for 7 games, Shields for 7, Aki for 7 (he got a couple cheap shots in while Coco was on the ground defending himself from 4 players at once), and Coco should be given 3.

This just goes to show that nobody in the MLB will respect Tampa Bay for an even longer time. With the way that clubhouse was turning it around, it's always fun to root for the once-underdogs having a good ride. Now we can see why Tampa Bay has sucked so much for so long. It's a clubhouse filled with tactless, spineless, cowardly players that think it's actually okay to dogpile one of the smallest players in the MLB and try and stomp on him like it's a schoolyard fight.

Oh c'mon. Crisp is being suspended for so long cause he started the fight. He got hit in the THIGH and charged the mound.
