You plan on marrying her? Give her the IPOD....how is this even a question? And like Simulacrum said, you should be extra sweet and put a bunch of songs on there that she likes...I assume you enjoy doing nice things for her otherwise you wouldn't be planning on marrying her...just be considerate and show her how much you love her. B-)

Some good points brought up. Although it sounds like some people are getting the idea that the ipod is more of a priority than my girl. Not even close. It's just if the opportunity was there to make her happy, and make me some money, then I should go for it.

Sense the majority thinks it would blow up in my face, and I agree, I'm eliminating that option.

Hah. I am cheap as well. Apparently not as cheap as you though. I bow to your cheapness, Grand Poobah. :-D

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

There is no choice here. If you don't give her the IPod you'll look like a major dork / jerk.

Anything else, and she will not be pleased.

if you've been with the girl for 4 years than essentially whats yours is hers already is it not? i like the idea of you trying to make some $, but like (i believe it was yoda) what are you gonna ask for? 50 bucks? hand it over and ask for some action. ;-D

A. Happy that she's getting an ipod at a discount.

She will be.
Make sure you make a big deal about the discount you are giving her. Make a spreadsheet to show her if you think it helps.
If she can't afford it, I'm sure you can sort out a payment plan to fit her needs.

Also of note: The ipod was given to me as a gift. So she knows I didnt spend any $ on this thing.

That's the key right there in my opinion. If you ask for money you're going to look like a chump. Do the smart thing and load it up with songs that you know she loves, or some cheesy band that you know she likes and then give it to her. She'll swoon. ;-D

What, is this your first experience with women?? They cost money. And they sting. The only classy move for you in this situation is to hand over the iPod as an act of love.

Perfect advice. Who knew Funston was a love guru?
