Maybe I could just not offer it at all to her, and help her look for a good price on another ipod?
Why don't you just ask her then if she wants yours? You can phrase it this way "I was planning on selling my ipod in order to help pay for the new one but... "

That's the key right there in my opinion. If you ask for money you're going to look like a chump. Do the smart thing and load it up with songs that you know she loves, or some cheesy band that you know she likes and then give it to her. She'll swoon.

What, is this your first experience with women?? They cost money. And they sting. The only classy move for you in this situation is to hand over the iPod as an act of love.

i think that would give some major brownie points. Just give her the thing and don't try to sell it to her
College Tuition: $12,000
Room & Board: $5,600
Books: $500
Food Plan: $2000
Not going to college and living with your parents: Priceless
Don't sell it to her. You'll look like a major tightwad. If buying a new iPod touch would "sting" your wallet you shouldn't be looking to buy one. Tell her you were going to sell it but she can have it if she wants. Maybe she offers you some money for it. Then you turn it down and give it to her.

Great question!

Cords... give her the iPod. If this is a woman you want to marry, whatever is yours will be hers then, so why not start now? If you're more concerned with the value of some iPod than you are over your relationship with this woman, maybe it's not time for you to be with her right now.
You should either give it to her (and save some money maybe?) or sell it to some other interested buyer. Either way, only offering to sell it to her is tacky. Now, where are those pictures.
