Should I sell something to my girlfiend?

I'm thinking really hard about buying an ipod Touch. I currently have an ipod nano and am looking for an upgrade. My girlfriend also is thinking about buying some sort of ipod, and I know that she really likes the nano that I have.

Now if I do buy the Touch, I want to sell my nano to somebody. Or I could be a good boyfriend and just give my ipod to her.

Or I could put myself into a tricky positon. I could try to sell my ipod nano to my girlfriend at a discount. She could either be:

A. Happy that she's getting an ipod at a discount.
B. Pissed that I'm not just giving her the ipod.

I would probably just give it to her. If she has a birthday/anniversary type thing coming up anytime soon save it for even more bonus points.

I would give it to her. If I have no use for something (i.e. an older TV) I usually just give it away to someone who needs it. I've never held money/possessions in high regard though .

Nanos are not that pricey anyway. What would you ask her for $50? You'll get points for giving her free presents although you might be setting a precedent. She'll always expect you to give her crap for free. Make her earn it.

Like Tavish said, I'd just give it to her. Especially if she knows you didn't pay anything for it, she's going to resent having to buy it from you. Honestly, it's kind of curious that you would even ask. In the future, you should just do stuff like this automatically.
