Is he supspended yet or is it still under appeal. I don't want to start him and have end up not playing.

Or is Delmon Young a better start tonight anyway?

I read this morning that he filed an appeal so he'll be able to play until the appeal is heard. I don't know when that will be but probably not until monday at the earliest.

Those of us in weekly leagues should be prepared to sit him next week. I figure his suspension may be reduced to three games, but he will likely start serving it sometime early next week.

I dont understand why he is bothering to appeal. All of Kemp's statements to the press on the matter have pretty much been apologies and taking resposibility for his actions. If he`s already admitting to his mistake to the public, what is the point of the appeal? :-?

I agree, but then after thinking about it makes sense. Maybe they reduce it. Plus they do have the best team in the league thus far, Cubbies, in town this weekend as well. That may have something to do with it. Better to take their chances against SD sans Kemp rather than the Cubs.

That makes a lot of sense. .......While we are talking about the Dodgers OF, please check my post about Ethier.

I heard that Kemp appealed his 4-game suspension because he thought he shouldn't have been given more games than Torrealba, who was given a 3-game suspension. That was pretty much his explanation in an interview I saw.

as far as Im concerned, its a much needed break that I need from him. This guy is an absolute strikeout machine and at least now I HAVE to sit him and give someone else a chance. I may not even bring him in when he is back from his suspension
