He's not yet 40 so this isn't possible yet.
I just want to get him in the NL so I can wear my Blue Wave jersey and get it autographed
I'm too lazy to make a sig at the moment

Heh. I wouldn't be surprised if he actually did pitch at some point. He's said that he wants to.
I'm torn about it. I love watching him play, but at the same time I realize the haul he would bring in. If they decide to truly tear it down and rebuild then he's a good chip.
As far as aging goes, I wouldn't be surprised if he had two careers. When his speed starts to go it's possible he converts into more of a .275 guy who hits
35 HRs a year. He's got the power... Heck maybe even a third career where he pitches!
while he does have power, he doesnt have THAT much. especially as he gets older.

35 HR would be an older Ichiro. He could hit 50 HR a year right now if he wanted to.

So he chooses to not hit 50 HR?

Thanks to abrage22 for the sweet sig!

In all serious, addressing this question, although not 50, a couple years ago, when he was at his prime ichiro could EASILY hit 30 homers a year if he wanted ,however, when he uses his home run swing, his whole mechanics change, and he becomes a low 270-ish hitter most likely, so Ichiro decided to utilize his speed instead of power, going for the Running Start Swing mechanics, and reaching base with a 400+ OBP clip instead of aa low 300's.
