And me. And that guy who called him the Super Duper Uper Sleeper this year.
For me, it's definitely been Marcum on the pitching side, and Johnny Damon on the hitting side.
Another vote for Marcum. Not one trade offer for him yet, and if I dropped him my leaguemates probably wouldn't care. Lets hope he can continue this success tonight against the O's.
HE IS FOR REAL PEOPLE!!! Cincinnati wouldn't have traded Josh "The Natural" Hamilton if they didn't know that they were getting a top-tier talent in return.
No way Volquez is unappreciated. He's on my squad and I appreciate him so much that i'm not trading him for anybody. I'm gonna throw in a closer and say Brandon Lyon. A lot of people thought he would be an awful closer and wouldn't make it past May as Arizona's closer, but he's proven those people wrong and is putting together good numbers. For hitter's i'm gonna say David Murphy. He's been really solid while guys like McClouth, Xavier Nady and Ryan Ludwick have gotten all the attention.
We're talking about the view of the whole forum community here, not just yours. Hell, I love Volquez too. He keeps my ratios to the down-low and the backbone of my pitching staff for now.
yeah, and i'm pretty sure that every single Volquez owner is appreciative of the way he's performing. He's been one of the best pitchers in all of baseball and everyone knows it, trust me he's appreciated all right.
Here are the ones on my team that I fully appreciate but they don't seem to be getting props everywhere else.
Sherrill Wellemeyer Vazquez Saunders
Damon and Dempster
Also from another angle
Berkman and Uggla. I love these guys. Everyone knows that they are doing well but a second basemen on pace for 50 hrs and Berkman hitting .380. Everyone keeps waiting for these guys to fail and even though I dont really believe that they will continue their torrid pace, I just think they will still be great all year!
How about a vote for Mauer? He's kind of fallen under the radar behind Martin, McCann, and Soto, but he's provided great run production and has single handedly kept my BA afloat.
He's gotten a bit of hype in stretches, but I'll say Ervin Santana. From WHIP butcher to WHIP tightrope artist: 0.98. Joe Saunders has been another good spot starter that has made his way as a nice back-end option. Don't look now, Jeremy Guthrie is quietly posting solid numbers for a #4-5 again.
