thoughts on Ortiz and Bonds

I haven't read this anywhere but was thinking with Ortiz possible gone for th eyear do the red sox look to pick up Barry Bonds. He problably would fit in like a glove at DH. Also makes a great story. There really isn't much out there to be had without trading their future. thoughts?
If bonds is available do we take a flier on him?
