Bump, what are everyone's thoughts on this guy? I've been considering dropping him for a while but haven't pulled the trigger yet.

i think this guy could be so much better on a different team. The Royals are not doing well at all and he could be such a better player somewhere else.

I'm not sure the team really has anything to do with it right now.....DeJesus, while batting leadoff and missing a month or so of the season has just as many HR and more RBI than Gordon does. Gordon still has alot to work on and it doesn't have to do with the team right now, IMHO. Short of the 12 game losing streak the Royals had earlier in the year they have been a .500 team this year....I'm fully aware you can't take that 12 game losing streak out of the equation but the Royals have actually been an ok team this year....mostly thanks to the pitching but I'm just sayin.

he will carry the sleeper tag for a couple more years and always be overvalued and overpriced in drafts becuase of potential

I guess in a few years u should see a 30 hr's and 300 avg......

until then,..he will put u to sleep w/ pedestrian numbers...

Odds on Gordon having a good second half? He was better last year in the second half, but even then he only hit .264 in that time frame. I know it was only one year, but this guy hit .325 with 29 HRs and 22 steals in just under 500 ABs in AA in 2006 - there has been no sign of that guy, especially with only TWO steals.

Looks like he needed some time in AAA, his strikeout rate in the majors has been bad and looks to me like he needed to learn how to hit guys with good breaking balls, guys who aren't throwing fastballs 75% of the time.
