If you like Fukudome, why don't you like Iwamura?

As a Japanese-American, I tend to keep an eye on big name players that come from Japan. Of course, Fukudome has been making a lot of noise this year but I want to know if I'm the only one who sees similarities with him and Iwamura? In Yahoo leagues, I read that Iwamura is only owned in like 18% of leagues. Meanwhile, Fukudome is probably owned by a majority of leagues. Iwamura has 2B,3B eligibility while Fukudome only has OF. The Rays are a well-rounded team this year and he bats right at the top of the order for them. I guess I can see more RBI's coming from Fukudome but not by a significant margin. I don't know, maybe I'm tripping. Does anyone else agree?

Well Fukudome seems to have slightly more power and plays for the Cubs. Neither are great fantasy options, though.

because its a game of stats, and fukudome leads iwamura in every stat category there is.

Fantasy baseball tends to focus on guys who either drive in a lot of runs, or those who both score runs and steal bases. iwamura isnt a bad actual baseball player, but he just doesnt fill the stat sheet enough for fantasy baseball.

Both are better real life players than fantasy players, they don't give you much power or speed.

I assume there is no hype for the guy because he isnt a rookie this year and he was a crappy 3b (though he is a decent 2b)

Plus he plays on the rays and not the cubs and doesnt have a huge contract
