Any update on Headley?

When is this guy coming up?

RE: HEADLEY… Jay Bruce was called up last Tuesday so the Reds could avoid paying him $10 million before they needed to. Headley played 8 games last season, so if he’s on a similar SUPER TWO timetable, the Padres will probably have to wait until at least this Thursday to call him up if they need him. I’m putting my money on him getting called up Friday.

the above poster is partially correct but it is not the # of games that a guy plays but the number of days on a major league roster that affects a player's arbitration clock..by my calculations, headley's super 2 deadline will pass june 14..look for headley to be called up june 17 when they start a short road trip

Can anyone else back up that headley will probably get the call june 17th-ish? I really wanna pick this cat up cause he's sittin on the ww, but i'd have to drop chris perez for him...decisions decisions.

Asked Tuesday whether Chase Headley is close to coming up from Triple-A, general manager Kevin Towers said that the Padres are "still contemplating the date for the call-up."

Headley is now hitting .301/.375/.522 with 10 homers in 62 games at Triple-A, while Padres left fielders rank 11th among NL teams in OPS.

Not sure what they're waiting for.
