Tonight was his 1st RBI since may 7th....this isnt down earth.

Hanleys overall statistics have come back down to Earth. The pace he was on after the first month of the season was out of this world. It was bound to even out at one point or another.

Before Hanleys slump (after the first month of the season) he was on pace for 48 hr's 132runs 108rbis 54sbs 333BA
Did you really expect Hanely to hit over 40 home runs and have over 100 rbis for a lead off hitting shortstop?

Now Hanley is playing at a much more reasonable pace.
130+runs 27hrs 69rbis 39sbs with a 292BA
Hanley will most likely steal closer to 50 bases and have a slightly higher batting avg, but those numbers seem about right.

So when I said back down to Earth, it means his pace is right about where it should be.

Holliday is a beast and Reneria should be good for 300 average 100 runs, and 60-70 rbis.

Surprisingly for a high average hitter, Hanley has a relatively suspect contact rate, even if his plate discipline has improved over the course of the last year and a half or so. His FB% is actually not too bad, but as it were, they're not carrying for HR's. Hanley hit into a bit of a dry spell last May too, but he's capable of posting another seriously good stretch. I'm still putting Hanley down for a 125 R, 30 HR, 40-45 SB, .310 BA. Buy low if you can.

Yes...thats great news.

He has a walk a SB and a RUN so far today.
1/3 throu the season and he had 9 swipes. If he is going to reach 40 he needs to put some speed on it.


So how does he compare to Jimmy Rollins? From today forward who do you guys think will have better numbers?

Easy to say but we are playing for quite a bit of $$$$$$

but yea today is good so far
