Need help with ESPN's DL system

Is there a way of adding a guy directly to your DL slot, without having to place him on your active roster first? I want to add Doumit to my DL, but I don't have anyone I could drop to put him on the roster first.

Nope. You have to add him to your roster then put him on the DL.

ESPN used to let you do this (before gametime that is) but I believe they have eliminated that feature altogether

I run and ESPN league and could not do it as commish for another team ( thought nothing of it when they asked for help since ESPN always used to allow that)

Im fairly sure you now have to do the "DL shuffle" a la how Yahoo's system works (CBS still allows adding right into DL)

That kind of stinks. I know ESPN used to allow it. i wonder why the don't anymore?
