Okay, twelve team head to head 5x5 league. The league is kind of weak, but I'm only currently 3rd right now.
Catcher: Napoli, Posada to fill in once he's off the DL
First: Carlos Pena
Second: BJ Upton
Third: Miguel Cabrera
Short: Jose Reyes
Outfield: Carl Crawford, Nick Markakis, Nate McLouth, Matt Kemp
DH: Robinson Cano
Starters: Webb, Haren, Halladay, Lincecum, Hudson, Oswalt
Relievers: Putz, Sherrill, T. Jones, Scherzer
I feel like my most glaring holes in my team is Catcher and First.
The free agency wire is kind of ridiculous. Matsui is out there, but he is no better than any of my outfielders. I just dropped Conor Jackson for Carlos Pena.
So here is a few thoughts, I could grab Matsui drop Scherzer and maybe package a deal with some outfielders for a catcher or first baseman.
I am really deep at pitching, I could package a deal for an elite first baseman or third baseman (since Miguel can play either).
Or should I just ride it out with the team I have now and just wait for a better opportunity for a buy low/sell high spot?
My thinking is that with my current team I should breeze into the playoffs, but I want to field the absolute best team possible when the playoffs come around.
