He may go for the 200 save 200 win mark if he's capable.
I'll reserve judgement until a few more appearances. His lack of command is certainly concerning given his new arm slot. The command issues could just be rust, but it's more likely the new arm slot which will be difficult to adapt to.
Is he though? I would think he is a HOFer but none of his comps are in the HOF. This might be due to the fact that he spent several years in the pen but still, I'm not sure if he is a 1st ballot.

I don't know. He's a prime example of what a true pure pitcher can do. He had extreme versatility. Look at Myers, it took him a while to adjust to relieving, and even longer to adjust to starting again. While Zmolts smoothly transitioned from one of the best Aces in baseball to the best closer in baseball and back again Not to mention no other pitcher has ever had as many Wins+Saves as Smoltz, and add 3000 K's, and the rarity that he played his whole career for one team (which, while not a stat, is still something special these days), I don't see why he wouldn't be first ballot.
I'm sorry and I hope I don't offend but anyone that watched enough real baseball and just stattrackers and crawlers on Baseball Tonight would know that Smoltz will be a hands-down first ballot HOF. No one has ever had this kind of success as both a starter and a closer, add the 3000 Ks and he will be stamping his pass to Cooperstown the first chance he gets.
