I can't wait for the annual Red Sox and Yankees vs the National League game!

As much as a Cubs fan as I am, the only Cubs player I voted for was Soto (though if we could vote for pitchers, Zambano, Dempster, and Marmol should all be going.) I think it's ridiculous that Fukudome is going to start.

Varitek is leading in votes for AL catchers lol....the NL roster destroys the AL roster.

I agree. I had a hard time picking good nominations basically everywhere but OF for the AL.

Maybe we'll win one this decade. !+)

When was the last time three Pirates started an All-Star game?

Wouldn't it be hilarious if Bonds won the write-in vote? :-D

That is crazy - I voted for every one of these guys except for Nady (I chose Braun instead)! I think a strong case for some other guys (like DWright) can be made, but I personally think you hit the nail on the head ;-D

Nady was a novelty pick. Braun should probably get the nod.
I'll probably insert Matsui into the DH slot, now that Papi is going to be out of commission for a while.

Here's mine
AL
1B: C. Kotchman -- I think he's been outstanding, and I did not expect it ;-D
2B: I. Kinsler -- the best 2Bman in the AL ... for the rest of the season.
SS: M. Young -- nice turnaround from the start of his season last year. Plus a couple of years ago he saved the AL's butt in the AS game.
3B: C. Blake -- not only is he everyone's favorite lumber jack, but he's been one of the few shining spots on CLE's team.
C: A. Pierzynski -- Has simply had a solid season so far. Fantasy and real-ball.
OF: J. Hamilton -- goes without saying.
OF: M. Ramirez -- has been most impressive.
OF: M. Ordonez -- I thought he'd regress, but he's been pretty lights out still. Good enough for me.
DH: H. Matsui -- I don't know. Seemed like the best option in the list provided.

Write In -- Alexei Ramirez, 2B,CF -- CWS

NL
1B: A. Gonzalez -- Was going to go Berkman but I went with this guy. Of late he's been flat out nasty.
2B: C. Utley -- duh
SS: J. Reyes -- Nope, he's not overrated!
3B: G. Atkins -- considering how COL has been so awful, he's been much more than very decent
C: B. Molina -- awesome.
OF: A. Dunn -- he's exceeded what I thought he'd be doing. Very nice
OF: C. Lee -- very deserving and pretty consistently excellent
OF: C. Young -- has been very solid for the most part.

I thought about giving Reyes the nod over Hanley but Reyes' defense has been pretty awful this year.

It's not fair. Quentin has had more playing time than Alexei. Give them equal time and you'll see :-D :-D
