Even with Varitek's abysmal bat, i would rather have him than AJ Pierzynski.
The players should have selected Dioner Navarro.
They did...
Navarro was selected by Francona.

The absence of Jermaine Dye is disgusting. Batting almost .310, 2nd in the AL in HRs with 19 and 52 RBI. Let's hope people smarten up and get him in as the last entry.

Dye and Pat the Bat (look at his OPS

). But Wright and Giambi will probably make it.

I heard Francona on the radio today, and it sounded like he really wanted get Mike Lowell on there somehow.

Just one BIG popularity contest...
Kinda takes away from the meaning All-Star doesn't it?

I think the All-Star should go by Stats. Having V-Teck in at .220ish is pathetic. The 10 players who are fighting for the last 2 spots for the respective leagues should be in. Evan Longoria who should win ROY is on the fringe!

Thanks to soty for the sweet sig

What Stats? And why?
Well they should make so guys like V-Teck who batting .220 shouldnt go. They should at least make a min of .300 batting avg and HR.
